Project Archaeologist
This is a career-orientated supervisory position that entails both field and office duties for projects conducted throughout Utah. Responsibilities include: Organize, plan, execute, and manage projects in an effective and timely manner within a budget; supervise field crews in various tasks including pedestrian survey, determination of eligibility, testing and mitigation projects; and prepare technical reports and research designs. Expertise in lithic analysis and historic archaeology a plus. Good writing and communication skills are mandatory. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in anthropology or archaeology and some experience in CRM to meet federal and state agency permitting requirements. It is preferred that candidates have a background in Great Basin, Plains and/or Southwest prehistoric and historic archaeology. This is an hourly, full-time position with a probationary period of three months.
